Don’t forget to register for MCS’s annual Superhero 5K and Fun Run! Come dressed as your favorite superhero or the most vile villain. The Fun Run starts at 9:00 am and the 5K starts at 9:30 am. Register before March 22nd and you are guaranteed a t-shirt and the price is only $25! All funds raised help support the mission of the Choir School.

Congrats to 7th grader Audrey Kim who has been officially selected for the US Paralympic Swimming Emerging team. In 2018 Audrey became the American record holder for her paraswim classification in the 50m backstroke. In June, she won six medals at her first national meet. Thank you to Ms. Foy for sending this video to us of three of our choristers singing the National Anthem at a championship swimming meet this last Saturday. Our kids did awesome at the meet and they did an excellent job singing the anthem!
Congratulations to Ms. Sarah Wealton on being selected as MCS’s Outstanding Employee of the Year. Ms. Wealton is described by her peers as “an educator who strives to impact the mind and heart of each child she encounters.” We are so happy to have Ms. Wealton as a part of our community.

Today we would like to do a special highlight of our wonderful Ms. Lowe. Ms. Lowe is currently an artist in residence at the Museum of Natural History for the Mayan exhibit. She is pictured here with a print of one of her beautiful paintings. You can visit her every Sunday for the next few weeks for 10:30 to 3:30 at the museum.

We had a great kick off to our Student Opportunity Drawing fundraiser this morning. You should have received an email on Thursday with a shareable link. We have some great prizes lined up for our students and all money raised helps benefit our Gala fundraiser in May! Thank you to Carla Baker for all your hard work and for getting our kids warmed up this morning! She’ll be on the quad w every Tuesday and Friday during the competition. #2019greatestgalaofthecentury
